What is SMR’s SmartERP System?

SmartERP is our own in-house custom built real-time reporting system developed by

Co-Founder/CTO Arun Korutta and Director of Technology Jeremy Huffman. The duo saw the need for a comprehensive online portal where clients could track their assets in real-time during our patented 8 step process. SmartERP allows clients to log into the portal 24/7 around the world to see their ad-hoc reports, load reports, and pictures, asset serialization, and receive their Certificate of Disposition for each order.

New to the SmartERP system in June 2019, clients are now able to order their own services rather than calling their account manager, they can export new ad-hoc reports on-demand, automatic pricing tiers and custom pricing for clients, email notifications have been turned on so clients will now be emailed during each step of their IT Asset Disposition process and when the final settlement is completed.

Coming in the following weeks, SMR is taking it a step further and adding an industry first Settlement Summary that will be a complete downloadable snapshot of each order a client has with SMR. This multi-page report will including an overall high-level report on all services performed for that order.

“We wanted to develop a Settlement Summary that was easy to read and digest for all of our clients. Our SmartERP system delivers custom ad-hoc reports for all of our clients but sometimes those reports are thousands of lines long in excel. That is why we developed our new Settlement Summary to give a high-level snapshot of these custom ad-hoc reports that can be easily digested.” Said Shelly Li, Co-Founder, and CEO of SMR Worldwide.

SmartERP is customized specifically for hardware retirement. Our SmartERP system is the heart of our success in service excellence, driving consistency, and efficiency on every project, no matter the scope. We own and operate infrastructure to truly deliver end-to-end services while providing the most detailed reporting in our industry! Our SmartERP system has an eight-step process that allows for real-time data tracking for a strict chain of custody.

STEP 1

Client requests a load to be picked up at their place of business or client notifies SMR that they are shipping boxes.

STEP 2

SMR confirms the order with the client.

STEP 3

SMR schedules logistics with the freight company or receives shipping information from the client. The client creates a list of palletized items along with weight and record, location of the pallet and on-site contact. SMR manages on-site tagging if necessary of material and/or on-site data destruction if applicable.

STEP 4

Shipment is received at SMR either via the freight company or shipping company, the material is weighted, # of pallets or # of boxes are counted and compared to BOL. Photos are each pallet are taken and uploaded to SmartERP portal in real-time along with pallet weight for double verification.

STEP 5

Assets are carefully processed during our triage phase. Each asset is tagged with its own SKU for quick reference. Assets are sorted based upon recycling or remarketing. If recycling, the assets are de-manufactured, if parts can be re-sold, they are carefully inspected by our expert staff and if they pass quality assurance, they are re-sold. For products that cannot be resold, they are broken down to ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and plastics and sent to permitted vendors. If assets are to be remarketed, they are tested from top to bottom to ensure the asset is in 100% working order. If the asset contains data-bearing devices including a hard drive, the hard drive is either completely removed or wiped clean based upon the client’s request.

STEP 6

After the assets are processed, all remarketed items are sold via e-commerce, wholesale, or other respective sales channels. SMR prides itself on maximizing revenue with an industry-leading sales staff that is constantly reviewing market trends and pricing.

STEP 7

SMR sends the settlement summary to the client, either an invoice or credit is issued. Consignment sale assets may take up to 90 days and are included in the settlement summary as well as ITAD processing fees and recycling charges.

STEP 8

The SmartERP system automatically issues a Certificate of Disposition for the client and complete reporting is available 24/7 on our portal.
